The idea
Make the ferry journey part of the outing. Stanley’s Australian produce and Cantonese cooking offer a different reason to visit the familiar waterfront.
Start without a car
Take the ferry to Manly Wharf. Stanley is at the wharf; the ocean-side walk begins after crossing through the town towards Manly Beach.
Your route, at your pace
Check Stanley’s current menu and reserve a session that suits your ferry plans. Louis Tikaram’s Manly venue highlights Australian seafood and seasonal produce with Cantonese flavours.
Walk through the town to Manly Beach, then follow the public Marine Parade path towards Shelly Beach. Pause to look over Cabbage Tree Bay from the path.
Return by the same coastal path and make your way to the wharf. Leave time for the meal rather than trying to squeeze it between tight connections.
Getting home
Use Manly Wharf for the return trip. Check the sailing you intend to catch and any service changes on the day.
What you pay for
Ferry fare, optional dining and purchases. Restaurant availability, surcharges and cancellation terms are set by the venue.
Walking & access
Check ferry accessibility and the exact pedestrian route for your needs. The coastal path can be busy; allow space for other walkers.
If the weather turns
A booked meal can anchor a wet-weather visit; reduce the exposed beach walk if wind or rain makes it unpleasant.
A little discovery mission
Capture the contrast between the harbour arrival and the ocean side of Manly, without obstructing the walking path.
